Shooting Range - 466 Victoria Rd.

I, the undersigned hereby acknowledge that I am aware of the following and consent and agree as follows:

  • The range is a private property & operated by the Moncton Fish & Game Assoc Inc. under lease from the Province of New Brunswick;

  • The range is NOT approved for the use of shotguns or .50 cal firearms. There is a single bow lane.

  • The gate is to remain locked at all times, members of the Assoc who have access are to ensure it is locked after entrance and departure.

  • The entrance to the range is with a DNRED transport permission paper (described below) and this sighting-in permit payment printed with the entrant. All entrance is on foot only.  Do not block the driveway!

      86(1)The Minister may issue a permit to a person authorizing the person to carry or discharge a firearm, including on a weekly day of rest, in an area specified by the Minister. (http://laws.gnb.ca/en/showdoc/cs/F-14.1)

  • I must provide this permit to a Range Officer or member of the MF&GA upon request;

  • I understand that the Range Officer or his designate is in complete charge of the range at all times.  The RO has complete authority over the firing line and I will immediately follow their instructions;

  • I agree that shooting is on a rotational basis when there are other shooters there;

  • This DNRED permit DOES NOT allow me to bring a guest to the range.  Each person entering the range MUST have their own permit; and

  • A maximum of two (2) firearms may be brought in for sighting.

I understand that the MFGA operates the range under the following lease conditions as required by the Province of New Brunswick:

  • The Crown Lands and Forests Act and its regulations,  the Canada Firearms Program and its regulations, the Firearms Act and its regulations are applicable and govern the use of the range and firearms at the range;

  • That the range may be shut down if DNRED deems it necessary for safety in fire fighting operations in the vicinity of the range;

  • The MFGA has the right to prohibit anyone from entering and using the range for refusing to abide by MFGA range rules or refusing to pay for damages to the range and/or equipment; and

  • The MFGA shall ensure that alcoholic beverages are not sold or consumed on the property of the range at any time. Applies to cannabis as well.

RANGE HOURS FOR PERMIT HOLDERS:
Sighting permits are valid between noon and 5 pm on the designated day identified below.

I acknowledge that this is a “firearms transport sighting-in permit” issued by DNR and that the range is only open for use as follows:

  • Monday (afternoon only);

  • Wednesday (afternoon only);

  • Saturday (afternoon only).

* * All other times the range is CLOSED to the PUBLIC and is reserved solely for members of the MFGA.* *

PAYMENT FOR RANGE PERMIT USE:

I agree to pay the sum of $25.00 to the Moncton Fish & Game Association for permission to use this range.  This applies to EACH permit issued by DNR. (Note:  $3.00 of this fee is for the National Firearms Association insurance coverage).

WAIVER:
I hereby waive the provisions of all Privacy Acts, whether Federal or Provincial and authorize the Department of Natural Resources to release my contact information (below) to the MF&GA for the purposes of governing public access to the Victoria Rd Shooting Range.
